The Wish List · try it out

Three steps, no preparation

  1. Create wishlist

Type in your email address, and the list is there right away – no waiting for an email. The name “For our baby” is already filled in, and you can change it anytime.

  2. Collect wishes

Copy the link from the store and paste it. Name, image and price are added on their own. On your phone, you can also do this right from “Share”.

  3. Share the link

Send the link to everyone, by message or as a QR code. Whatever someone reserves is off the list for the others. They don’t see who it was.

What fits on a list like this

Just a few ideas. Add them with a store link or simply as text.

  • Baby monitor with camera
  • Diapers, size 2
  • Wooden music box
  • Baby wrap
  • Nursing pillow
  • Gift card for baby swim lessons

Before the baby arrives, suddenly everyone wants to help, and the apartment fills up with things you already have. A wishlist gives all that goodwill some direction: you add what’s actually missing – from the baby monitor to a second pack of size 2 diapers – and whoever takes something takes it off the table for everyone else. It works before the birth just as well as after, when visitors come by and ask what they can bring.

Common questions: Baby

When should a baby registry be ready?
Before the shower invitations go out, usually two to three months before the due date. Guests who don’t attend the shower often use the same list after the baby arrives, and you can simply keep it going for the baptism.
How much do guests spend on a baby shower gift?
Friends and coworkers commonly spend $30 to $75; grandparents and close family often more. For a big item like a stroller or car seat, several people frequently go in on it together.
What belongs on a baby registry – and what doesn’t?
Focus on what’s actually needed in the first months, plus a few things for later. Newborn-size clothes tend to arrive unasked; larger sizes and everyday supplies like diapers and wipes are usually more helpful.
Can we add everyday supplies?

Yes, and it’s worth it. For things that can be given more than once – diapers, wipes, creams – there are wishes that go back on the list by themselves after someone reserves them.

Can our guests see who reserved what?

No. All they see is “reserved”. You can see the name in the wish yourself, if someone left one.

Can I add secondhand wishes?

Yes. A wish doesn’t have to be a store link. Just write “Playpen, used is great” – the text alone is enough.

Is the wishlist really free?

Yes, completely. No ads, no commission on gifts, no conditions in the fine print.
