Create wishlist
Type in your email address, and the list is there right away – no waiting for an email. The name “Birthday party wishes” is already filled in, and you can change it anytime.
Collect wishes
Copy the link from the store and paste it. Name, image and price are added on their own. On your phone, you can also do this right from “Share”.
Share the link
Send the link to everyone, by message or as a QR code. Whatever someone reserves is off the list for the others. They don’t see who it was.
What fits on a list like this
Just a few ideas. Add them with a store link or simply as text.
- Building set for advanced builders
- Early reader book
- Scooter helmet
- Paint set with brushes
- Gift card for the pool
- A trip to the zoo
At a kids birthday party, the guests’ parents all face the same problem: they barely know your child and still want to find something that’s a hit and fits their budget. Without a list, three identical building sets show up. With a list, everyone sees what’s still available and roughly what it costs – and your child helps decide ahead of time what goes on it.
Common questions: Kids birthday
- What’s a normal gift budget for a classmate’s birthday?
- Many parents spend $20 to $35 on a classmate’s gift. A book, a craft kit or a small game fits that range well. Kids care far more about opening something fun than about the price, so there’s no need to go higher.
- Do you have to invite the whole class?
- Not always. Many schools ask that invitations handed out at school go to the whole class, or at least to all the boys or all the girls. Otherwise, sending invitations privately to a smaller group avoids hurt feelings.
- How early should birthday party invitations go out?
- Two to three weeks before the party is typical. Asking for RSVPs about a week ahead leaves time to plan food, favors and supervision. A friendly reminder a few days before helps with parents who forgot to answer.
- Are party favors expected at a kids birthday?
- They’re common but never required. Most hosts keep them small, often around $3 to $5 per bag, with a few treats and a little toy. Some skip the bags and send each child home with one useful thing, like a book.
How does the link get to the other parents?
Add it to the invitation – as an address or as a QR code. Nobody has to sign up or install anything to reserve.
Should prices be listed?
Usually, yes. They spare the other parents the awkward question of what’s customary.
Can my child see what’s already reserved?
Only if you show them. Managing the list is up to you.
What if someone brings something else?
That’s up to each guest. The list is an offer, not a rule.
What does the wishlist cost?
Nothing.
