The Wish List · try it out

Three steps, no preparation

  1. Create wishlist

Type in your email address, and the list is there right away – no waiting for an email. The name “My milestone birthday wishes” is already filled in, and you can change it anytime.

  2. Collect wishes

Copy the link from the store and paste it. Name, image and price are added on their own. On your phone, you can also do this right from “Share”.

  3. Share the link

Send the link to everyone, by message or as a QR code. Whatever someone reserves is off the list for the others. They don’t see who it was.

What fits on a list like this

Just a few ideas. Add them with a store link or simply as text.

  • Hot air balloon ride
  • Concert tickets for two
  • A good watch
  • A weekend in the mountains
  • Photo book of old pictures
  • Contribution to a big trip

For your 18th, 30th, 50th or 70th, the guest list is longer, and the gift question comes from every side: from family, from your club, from coworkers. A wishlist answers it once. Big wishes can be set up so several people can chip in, small ones sit right next to them, and whatever is reserved is off the table for everyone else. The link fits into any invitation.

Common questions: Milestone birthday

How much do people spend on a milestone birthday?
Friends often give $25 to $75. For a 50th or 60th, groups frequently pool their money for one bigger gift or an experience. A contribution wish on the list lets everyone give their share.
Is it okay to ask for no gifts?
Yes. Some people prefer a donation to a cause or simply the company. Say so kindly in the invitation. A short list is still helpful for guests who would like to bring something anyway.
How do you organize a group gift?
Usually one person takes the lead: they suggest the gift, get everyone to agree on it early and say what each share comes to, so nobody buys something on the side. Friends tend to split evenly; close family often gives a larger share.
Can several guests go in on one big gift?

Yes. With “Can be given more than once”, the wish stays available after every reservation, so lots of people can chip in. That makes room for cash gifts and group gifts, like a contribution toward a big trip.

How does the list get into the invitation?

As a link, or as a QR code you put on the printed invitation.

Can I add the date of the party?

Yes. The date then appears above the list your guests see.

Can my guests see who is giving what?

No, only that a wish is taken.

What does the wishlist cost?

Nothing.
